Olivia Lara

Born and raised in Romania, in a family of book lovers and storytellers, Olivia studied marketing, communications, and photography, and worked as a journalist for a newspaper and news television network. \n\nA self-proclaimed 'citizen of the world', Olivia spent a few years in Greece, Sweden, France (which will always have a special place in her heart), and more recently in the US. She now lives in sunny California with her photographer husband and daughter, where she works as a marketing executive and writes. Oh, and let's not forget the ever-growing menagerie that completes the family: Pumpkin—the hyper-active Coon-orange tabby mix, and three black cats: Shadow, Pepper, and Salem. \n\nWhen she's not writing or thinking about writing, she reads (across all genres), watches old movies and collects vintage books, vinyl, and eerie paintings. Olivia also keeps busy by helping her husband with his photography business or running around from piano recitals, and gymnastics practice sessions, to birthday parties with her daughter - just to name a few of her adventures. \n\nOlivia's stories are inspired by the rich Romanian folklore, her love (aka obsession) for certain countries in both Eastern and Western Europe, everyday happenings (reality always beats fiction), and sometimes... dreams.\n\nOlivia is a member of the Romantic Novelists' Association, Romance Writers of America, and Women's Fiction Writers Association. SOMEDAY IN PARIS is her debut novel and will be published in May 2020.
